SATURDAY, 9 FEBRUARY 09:30-11:30 SUTTON PARK

We will be holding a stall at the Birmingham 10k Winter Warmer Run at Sutton Park on Saturday 9th February to spread the word of the North Schools MAT plans and raise awareness of the importance of open consultation.
We need some people to help us on a stall between 9.30 and 11.30 at Sutton Park. You won’t need to stay the whole time, even half an hour would be fantastic! Bring the kids, have a jog and help us spread the word. We will hand out leaflets and posters, collect signatures on our petition and talk to people to make sure they know about the process and the reasons for asking the schools to slow down and consult openly with the community.
We will meet at 9.30 near the visitors centre. Please come and see us and say hi and collect some flyers to hand out if you can’t stay.

Defibrillator Demonstration

On Monday, 28th January, the Forum had Ben East and his colleagues from Fast Aid (fastaid.org.uk/)  giving a demonstration on the use of a defibrillator.  On Monday, March 25th we will have another demo, this time from the organisation who will have installed the defibrillator outside the Community Hall.  The organisation is Community Heartbeat (communityheartbeat.org.uk) and the defibrillator is funded by Royal Sutton Town Council.

Parking Fine Scam

There’s a parking fine scam going on in the Sutton Coldfield area.

A man in an Amey jacket, reddish orange, knocks the door and, when you answer, he tells you that your vehicle has been photographed illegally parked.  The fine is £1000, but  apparently, after haggling, it can get down to £175.

The police advise that it is a scam so do not part with any money.  Notification of parking fines comes by letter.
