Monday’s Forum Meeting

George Brown, from The Community Heartbeat Trust, who installed our defibrillator, was our speaker for the evening.  He gave an excellent demonstration, with all questions answered, even the awkward ones.  There was plenty of opportunity to ‘have a go’ and several residents present did just that.

Unfortunately, it took so long to accommodate all those who wanted a go with the dummy, that we did not finish until 9.10 p.m.  At this point residents drifted off to the point where the meeting was no longer quorate, so the AGM was cancelled.

We will have it at the May meeting.

Birmingham Bus Survey

I’m getting in touch on behalf of Birmingham Friends of the Earth. Birmingham City Council as part of its Clean Air Zone programme is consulting on the state of our buses.

Please do respond to the survey at: https://www.birminghambeheard.org.uk/economy/bus-survey/  and pass it on to your group, friends, family and other contacts. The survey is for users and non users alike and closes on the 2nd March. If we are to get to grips with congestion, poor air quality, climate change and a more inclusive society we  all need more and better buses.

Kind regards
