The procedure has changed this year. Instead of four sessions, on different days and times, when anyone eligible could turn up and receive a free flu jab, you now have to book, similar to having a consultation with a doctor.
Social Media Awareness Session
Last night was our anti-penultimate session. We are hoping to have another six sessions, day of the week to be decided, but it will be in the Communitea Cafe in Boldmere (opposite Costa).
We have noticed, over the last 15 sessions, that social media is not always the main problem, although for many it was. The main problems seem to be the basic use of desktops, laptops, tablets and phones and the bits and pieces that come with them – fitbits, dongles, etc. – and synchronising them.
We are working towards a series of sessions that will familiarise total beginners with the use of phones, tablets and laptops. Keep your eyes on this space.

Update on Trees in the Greenway
We are not having five, we’re having at least 12 beeches, six either side of the path. If you can make it go and watch the process. The tree spade is driven into the ground, revolved, and the jaws close. It then lifts the earth, drives to the hedge at the top of the Greenway and deposits the soil. It is then used to fill in any holes nearby.
